Courses and Requirements

As an in-person program, the core curriculum is primarily delivered through on-campus instruction. Several courses in this program are delivered online through our partnership with RIZE Education. Enjoy the best of an on-campus experience with the flexibility offered by several online classes.

What Will I Learn?

Do you ever wonder about how Netflix can figure out what show you’ll love next? Or how Amazon delivers a package to your home in under 48 hours? As a data scientist, you’d learn how to play a key role in making the “impossible” possible.

You’ll learn how to make business decisions based on robust analytics without needing extensive coding. Our Data Science program is designed to equip you with the skills necessary to navigate the dynamic world of business intelligence.

Career Outlook

With starting salaries between $63,000 to $102,000, studying Data Analytics provides you with a great path to making six figures. There’s also never been a better time to enter the field, as jobs are growing 36% over the next decade – much quicker than the average field.

OpenAI, Google, Salesforce, Amazon, Meta, and X are all investing heavily into AI today and this is one of the few programs available in the country that prepare students to run straight into that growth.

Data science, in simple terms, is extracting information or insights from data.

A data science degree from Roberts prepares you for the technical and ethical parts of data science. You’ll learn data management programs like Tableau and SQL, learn about real-world data science problems with experts in the industry, and study AI language models.

Along with that, you’ll learn how to tackle problems in the field through a Christian-centered approach. You’ll graduate ready to be an ethical and responsible data scientist ready to use data to make positive changes.

If you aren’t at least comfortable with Calculus, you may be better suited for a Business Analytics program. The math and programming in this program goes relatively deep.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage for data scientists in 2022 was $103,500. These numbers will differ by area, experience, and position.​​​​
